Following the chemical incident in Langley near Maidstone, yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, 6 November), SECAmb is continuing to support those involved, although it has now stood down the Major Incident declared in response to this. The Trust sent a number of emergency resources to the scene, including its Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) and the air ambulance, to assess and treat 48 patients. C

Members of the public are being invited to nominate their ambulance service or NHS 111 hero in a new award to be presented at SECAmb’s annual staff awards. The People’s Hero Award gives the public across the region the chance to pay tribute to the good work of someone who has left a lasting impression on themselves or their family in the last year.
