South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, (SECAmb), is inviting members of the public to join a virtual Annual Members Meeting which it will hold next month.
People can find out more about their local ambulance service in the online event which will take place on Friday 3 September from 2.30pm-4pm.
Attendees will hear from a variety of speakers including the Trust’s Chief Executive, Philip Astle, on SECAmb’s ongoing response to the pandemic, as well as from other members of staff looking back over the past year. The meeting will provide an overview of where the Trust’s funding comes from and how it is spent.
People will also hear from the Trust’s Governors and how they have continued to seek assurance around performance, staff wellbeing and safety over recent months. Governor elections will be being held in the autumn so the meeting will provide a good opportunity to learn more about the role. The AMM will also feature a question-and-answer session.
For further details including how to register to attend the event, please visit SECAmb’s website here: Annual Members Meeting 2021 | NHS South East Coast Ambulance Service (secamb.nhs.uk)
The meeting will be recorded for anyone unable to join on the day.
SECAmb Chief Executive, Philip Astle said: “I urge anyone who is interested in finding out more about how their ambulance service works to join us for this event. It is sad that we are holding our Annual Members Meeting virtually for the second year running but I know that it will once again be an extremely informative and interesting event. This year has and continues to be extremely challenging for all our staff and volunteers and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of them for their hard work and commitment.”
As an NHS Foundation Trust, SECAmb invites the public to support it and have a say in how it run its services. It’s free to become a member of SECAmb. For further details please visit Become a member | NHS South East Coast Ambulance Service (secamb.nhs.uk)
