The aim of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 is to promote greater transparency and openness of public authorities by supporting members of the public in requesting information from and about public authorities.

Under section 19 of the Freedom of Information 2000, public authorities are required to publish and maintain a publication scheme. The publication scheme is a list of the information routinely published by the Trust and the purpose of the scheme is to enable significant amounts of information to be made available without the need for a specific request.
