South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SECAmb) provides a range of urgent and emergency care services across Kent, Medway, Surrey and Sussex, including 999, NHS 111, and urgent healthcare professional referrals. To deliver these services safely and effectively, we must collect, use, and protect personal information in line with data protection law and the ICO Model Publication Scheme.

SECAmb provides the following NHS services:
999 Emergency Ambulance Services
Responding to emergency calls, providing clinical assessment, emergency treatment, and transport.
NHS 111 and NHS 111 Online
Offering urgent clinical advice and triage for people seeking medical help.
Urgent Care for Healthcare Professionals
Responding to urgent requests from GPs and other clinicians for assessment or conveyance.
Supporting Wider Health and Care Services
SECAmb may work jointly with other health, social care, education, or partner agencies to deliver safe, coordinated care.
These services fall within the ICO’s “Services we offer” category, which public authorities must publish under the Model Publication Scheme.
To deliver high‑quality ambulance and urgent care services, we must record information about you and your care. Information may be used for:
Ensuring your care meets national quality and safety standards.
Assessing your condition against clinical risk criteria.
Planning services to meet population healthcare needs.
Providing information to national datasets such as NHS England’s Ambulance Data Sets.
Training, audit, service improvement and research.
Reporting incidents, claims, and complaints.
The use of information for these purposes is consistent with our public duty and required under NHS data protection and governance frameworks.

Our staff are trained to handle your information responsibly, never use it for direct marketing, never sell it, and do not process it overseas except in strictly defined circumstances.
