Acting Chief Executive of South East Coast Ambulance Service
(SECAmb), Geraint Davies said:
“The thoughts of everyone at SECAmb are with the families and
loved ones of those who lost their lives in this tragic incident a
year ago today.
“It was, of course, an extremely challenging incident to respond
to and our staff, as ever, acted with care, compassion and with the
utmost professionalism. I am very proud of their actions alongside
their emergency service colleagues and volunteers.
“Such an awful incident had a huge impact on the local community
and people further afield. Everyone should be very proud of the way
they came together to provide support to each other and indeed
undertake many acts of kindness for our staff.
“I wish everyone a peaceful day in which they can pay tribute
and reflect on today’s anniversary.”
