Children across the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) region are invited to create a design which will feature on the side of one of 12 frontline ambulances across its Kent, Surrey and Sussex region.
SECAmb is looking for designs which incorporate a rainbow, NHS logo and a supportive public message.
A small judging panel will choose three winning designs which will be placed on four ambulances in each of the three counties served by the Trust.
The competition, which was launched on the Trust’s social media channels on Friday 17 April and which has already proved popular, is open to children aged 11 or under who live within SECAmb’s region.
The competition was the brainchild of SECAmb Operational Team Leader from Hastings, Neville Bettley. He said:
We’ve had overwhelming support from the public and I thought this would be a way we could express our thanks. We see so many great pictures of rainbows as we go about our work and I’m really pleased that the Trust has been able to take this forward.
Entries should be on A4 paper and sent to NHSrainbow@secamb.nhs.uk by 5pm on Friday, 24 April 2020 along with the child’s name, age and address, so that at least one of the four ambulances in each winner’s county can be based as near to their home as possible.
