A donation of used and surplus supplies including PPE, boots and medical supplies are currently on their way to the Ukraine thanks to our stores and logistics colleagues.
In partnership with Kent County Council, who are working with UK based organisations to deliver supplies to the Chernihiv region of the Ukraine, the Trust recently donated over 30 boxes of equipment and uniform no longer fit for purpose. All items are delivered to Chernihiv to help those affected by the ongoing war in the Ukraine.
Kent County Councillor, Jordan Meade, recently visited our logistical hub at Telford Place to thank the colleagues compiling this delivery.
Operational Team Leader, Chris Blanchard said: “This is such an important cause to support and all of us at Telford Place are glad we could help in some way. It was a pleasure to meet Jordan recently and find out more about the difference our donations make.”
Kent County Council have been working with Trusts across the NHS to collect and distribute aid to the hospitals and medical facilities in the Chernihiv region since July 2024. This includes spare and used stock and equipment which is then sorted by the Councils volunteers and driven directly to the hospitals and trauma centres in Chernihiv.
