Don’t miss out on a great opportunity
for some hands-on learning with the very interactive SimAtmosphere
– a 360-simulation area which will allow participants to immerse
themselves in scenarios and test their knowledge and
skills.
The SimAtmosphere and the simbulance form part of one of the
exciting workshops being offered at the Trust’s
FREE one-day conference, Listen, Learn Change being held at the Amex
Stadium in Brighton on Wednesday, 4 October.
The HEEKS funded SimAtmosphere and Simbulance
are exciting new ways of providing simulation to all staff, uses
video projection onto walls with the ability to change the
environment by a facilitator at the click of a button.
From the roadside to the home of a patient to
the busy heart of an A&E department, the simulation will
provide some interesting scenarios to experience and learn.
Adding realism to the training environment,
high quality video and audio are combined with interactive surfaces
and gesture control. Individual scenes can be further enhanced by
adding scents and other effects, such as wind, smoke and coloured
LED lighting. This innovative approach to training is putting
the Trust and forefront of this type of learning. So why not
find out more and see whether your teams could benefit from this
learning tool available to staff.
And if this isn’t enough to entice you along
to this event, we also have interesting workshops from our
Vulnerable Persons Lead, Jane Mitchell. Following feedback
from staff keen to learn more about mental capacity assessments,
Jane Mitchell has designed an informative workshop in this
area.
And then finally we have a very topical and
interesting workshop from our mental health lead, Gary
Davies-Ebsworth on how we both recognise PTSD and support staff
following traumatic incidents.
The event is CPR accredited and is
free so book your place now to avoid missing
out.
