During the pandemic, South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) has enjoyed fantastic support from its fire and rescue colleagues from Kent, Surrey and East & West Sussex fire services.

The services have supported the Trust in a number of different ways, including logistics capacity and capability, support with itstesting programme and driving ambulances to support our clinicians.

While the close working will continue, as we move into a different phase of the pandemic, this specific support has come to an end this week.

SECAmb would like to thank all those who have provided additional support over what has been an extremely challenging two years.

SECAmb Executive Director of Operations Emma Williams said: “SECAmb is incredibly grateful for the support provided by our fire service colleagues throughout the pandemic. These individuals and the support of each service as a whole undoubtedly strengthened our resilience and built on an already strong working relationship. While this particular phase of their support is ending I know that SECAmb will continue to work very closely with each service for the benefit of our patients."
