The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
registration renewal period for paramedics opened on Thursday, 1
June 2017 and will close on Thursday, 31 August 2017.

The HCPC wrote to all paramedics at the beginning of June
with information on how to renew. If you have not received a letter
this may be because you have moved and not updated your details.
Please check.

To renew, registrants must complete a
professional declaration and pay a renewal fee no later than
midnight on Thursday 31 August 2017 to avoid being
removed from the Register. The easiest and quickest way to renew is
online via www.hcpc-uk.org/renew.

YOU MUST DO THIS EVEN IF YOU HAVE BEEN
PAYING ALREADY BY DIRECT DEBIT.

A random sample of 2.5 per cent of Paramedics
will also be selected to submit a continuing professional
development (CPD) profile during this period. Those selected for
audit will be receiving a separate letter after receiving your
renewal notice.

More information, including sample profiles,
activity types and video guidance, is available at
www.hcpc-uk.org/registrants/cpd

The fee is tax deductible, which means that
registrants paying the standard 20 per cent tax rate can reclaim a
20 per cent refund from HMRC.

Registrants can contact the Professional
Standards Department for further advice or email the HCPC at
registration@hcpc-uk.org with any queries on renewal or the CPD
audit process Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm.
