As part of our migration to Office 365, we are
now moving email accounts into the Cloud, which means Microsoft
will manage the security and availability of the email system and
the processing of your email. SECAmb IT staff will continue to
support the email system and liaise with Microsoft where
necessary.
Your mailbox is scheduled for
migration overnight on Wednesday 14th June
2017.
- For desktop, laptop or
IGEL access your mailbox will only be unavailable whilst
your content is moved to Outlook and we expect the process to last
no more than 10 minutes during this period. Once complete you can
continue to access your email in the same way as you do now. - For Trust mobile devices
(iPhone/iPad) your mailbox may be unavailable for a period
of up to 12 hrs overnight. However, web access will be available
during this period at the usual address https://mail.secamb.nhs.uk/ - If you are logged in to
Outlook when your account is moved, you will receive a
message asking you to close Outlook and reopen it. The next time
you start the application you may be asked for your network login
details and your account will start to synchronise. - If you use Web Access after
being migrated, you will be redirected to the Microsoft
login page which you can get to directly by visiting http://outlook.com/owa/secamb.nhs.uk
as shown below:
- For security purposes, attachments
cannot be downloaded using Web Access but you will be able to read,
edit and reply to emailed content. - A guide
that describes what you will see on Trust mobile devices during
migration is available at
