A new online appraisal system is to be rolled-out from the
end of April which will see it replace the paper-based system.

The appraisal system called, Actus online, will be introduced to
all areas of the organisation, excepted A&E operations and EOC
staff, from Monday, 24 April. A&E operational and EOC staff
will be included once areas of reorganisation in these departments
has been completed.

Over the past few months, we have been working on this exciting
new development with Actus in developing a bespoke, web-based
appraisal system that allows us to record the outcomes of 1-2-1
meetings and learning and development conversations, capture annual
objectives, as well as incorporating appraisals of past performance
and outcomes of future career planning discussions.

To supported managers and staff in using the new system,
classroom training and video guides along with ongoing support from
local system super users will be provided.

The system is compatible with tablets, laptops and desktop
computers, available to both office-based staff and front-line
colleagues.

This is your system; it will continue to evolve and develop over
time, based on your wants and needs. Please test it, play around
with it and let us know what you think – what works, what doesn’t
work and what can be done to improve it further. Your feedback is
greatly appreciated.

Please look out for introductory Actus online appraisal training
sessions advertised at a location near you in the near future.
