Our move to the Trust’s new headquarters at Crawley is
finally in the calendar.

Firming the dates has been a complex process,
coordinating many threads which are now coming together.

While the building on Gatwick Road nears completion, the
sophisticated IT system that will underpin the EOC and corporate
functions is almost ready to go. Progressing alongside these IT
systems is the new CAD for the EOC, which we’re working to dovetail
for a smooth transition.

There’s an extensive resilience, testing and support phase on
the new systems during March and April, but once these are
complete, the move for EOC and corporate staff can begin.

Key dates for your diary

  1. 01.05.2017 to 19.05.2017 – Relocation of Lewes corporate staff
    to Crawley
  2. 22.05.2017 to 12.06.2017 – Relocation of Banstead and Lewes EOC
    staff to Crawley
  3. 30.06.2017 – Relocation of remaining corporate staff
    completed
  4. 30.06.2017 – Decommissioning of Lewes site completed

Detailed planning will be undertaken in conjunction with
functional managers to ensure that we are able to maintain
business-as-usual throughout the move period.

Now that work on the building and infrastructure are well under
way, the focus of the project is shifting to the impact on our
staff.

If you haven’t yet taken the opportunity to have a One to One
meeting with HR about how the move will affect you, don’t forget to
book your appointment.

You may find your questions are answered in the FAQs on the
Intranet page, but if not, you can email newhq&eoc@secamb.nhs.uk
and we’ll make sure we get back to you.
