A mother of two young children from Ramsgate in Kent who suffered a decline in her mental health recently had the opportunity to thank her lifesavers as she continues her recovery.
Coral Kirklaldie, 41, was overjoyed to be reunited with the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) team.
With one in four people experiencing a mental health problem of some kind each year in England, Coral, found herself needing the care and support of SECAmb colleagues on 24 June 2024.
Since that day, Coral has been on a positive journey to improve her mental health and wellbeing, and in doing so, she visited the Trust’s Make Ready Centre in Thanet where she reconnected with Emergency Care Support Worker, Kelly Tucker, Paramedic, Shailabh Rai, Resource Dispatcher, Mason Geary and Operations Manager, Rob Goss.
Recently Coral has been focusing on putting her mental health and wellbeing first and has been enjoying spending time with her two children and getting back into some of her hobbies, such as glass painting.

Kelly said: “It made me so happy to hear that Coral wanted to come in and meet us. It was emotional for me seeing her looking so well and getting back to her bubbly self. We are all so proud of her.”
Dispatcher, Mason, said: “It was a pleasure to be reunited with Coral and to hear about the journey she has been on. She is an inspiring woman.”
