The NHS 10-year plan and what it means for South East Coast Ambulance Service will be the topic for the Trust’s next online Community Forum.

The bi-monthly virtual forum, hosted by our Patient Engagement Team, is open to anyone with an interest in the ambulance service and will take place on Wednesday 3 December between 10am-12pm.

Providing an opportunity for people to learn more about the Trust and also share their experiences of using on our 999 and 111 services, next week’s forum is also a chance to learn more from our Strategic Partnerships team about the NHS 10-year plan and what it means for us and our patients.

The event allows people to hear directly from SECAmb individuals leading key projects and an opportunity to provide feedback and ask questions to help shape future improvements. Feedback from previous meetings has included ideas about using technology and AI to improve how we connect with our communities.

They have also been used to discuss how we learn from positive feedback via compliments – in excess of 500 of which were received in the three months between July and September.

Head of Patient Engagement, Vikki Baldock, said: “Our Community Forum is a fantastic opportunity for us to hear directly from patients and anyone with an interest in the ambulance service. Hearing their views is vital to ensuring that the care we provide is centred on the needs of the communities we serve and provides a means for discussions which traditional feedback such as surveys may not capture.”

Anyone interested in joining the forum is asked to contact the patient engagement team on engagementteam@secamb.nhs.uk
