Calling all those staff who are eligible for
their long service awards and those who wish to nominate staff for
their outstanding achievements, it’s awards time!
The awards ceremonies will be held at:
- East
ceremony
The Orangery, Turkey Mill, Maidstone, at 7pm on Thursday, 23
February 2017 - West
ceremony
Woodlands Park Hotel, Cobham, at 7pm on
Thursday, 9 March 2017
So if you have undertaken or will have
undertaken 20 years’ frontline A&E service in any ambulance
service by Thursday, 1 December 2016, and have not
yet received a medal, then you are entitled to be presented with
the Queen’s Long Service and Good Conduct Medal at one of the
awards ceremonies.
If you have dedicated 20 years’ service to the
NHS but not in an A&E frontline service, such
as PTS, EOC or support services by Thursday, 1
December 2016, then you are entitled to be
presented with a NHS 20 years’ Long Service Medal.

Any member staff who has dedicated more than
30 or 40 years’ service, and have not previously had this service
acknowledge, are eligible to receive one of these awards.
We are also looking for nominations from staff
or managers for the Chief Executive Commendations which recognise
the outstanding achievements or practices of staff, volunteers or
members of the public. Further details of these the various

Please note that awards forms need to be
completed and returned to awards@secamb.nhs.uk by
Thursday, 1 December 2016. This allows
us time to process applications.
