On 31 January, we launched The Star Zone, our new digital Reward & Recognition Platform that allows our people to recognise and thank their colleagues through the use of e-cards.
We’ve created a big library of animated e-cards for people to use, including introducing some special ‘limited edition’ ones to mark events like Chinese New Year and Ramadan!
The Star Zone also allows leaders to praise and financially reward colleagues within a set framework and we’ve invested into a ‘rewards pot’ to support this. This gives our leaders the opportunity to provide a bit of extra recognition – a cup of coffee or bunch of flowers for example – to someone within their team who deserves it!
We have also launched our ‘Star of the Month’ award through the platform – a new opportunity for colleagues to nominate someone they feel deserves to be recognised for going above and beyond or for simply being a great colleague.
We saw a tremendous response during February and were delighted to pick our first ever ‘Star of the Month’ winners on 1 March!
We’re very proud to be the first ambulance Trust to introduce a digital Reward Platform and it’s been enthusiastically received by our people so far!
Already we have seen:
- 1800 e-cards been sent via The Star Zone
- Thank you, Well Done and Welcome to the Team have been the most popular cards so far
- New functionality added which allows the recipient of the card to react and respond
- 40 Star of the Month nominations in our very first month
We’ve got lots of plans in place to develop The Star Zone over coming months and look forward to seeing this grow and expand.
