Planned industrial action is due to take place by members of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) this bank holiday weekend.
One of our other unions, Unite, has also announced its members will be participating in industrial action on Tuesday 2 May (from midday – 10pm).
As with any previous days of industrial action we have worked closely with our union colleagues to minimise the impact on our service.
People can continue to help us manage the demand throughout the bank holiday and during the industrial action by only calling 999 in the event of a genuine emergency and by making use of alternatives for help and advice including via NHS 111 Online – 111.nhs.uk
As ever, we will be working hard to respond to patients and prioritising our response to our most seriously ill and injured patients.
