The Equality Delivery System (EDS) is a nationally mandated NHS framework that helps organisations demonstrate how effectively they are meeting their Public Sector Equality Duty and advancing equality, diversity and inclusion for patients, communities and colleagues.
The EDS provides a structured, evidence-based approach to reviewing performance across key domains. It supports the Trust to identify strengths, highlight areas for improvement and embed equality considerations into mainstream business and decision-making.
The framework requires meaningful engagement with patients, staff, community partners and other stakeholders to ensure that services and employment practices are fair, inclusive and responsive to the needs of the diverse populations we serve.

SECAmb has used the EDS framework since 2012 to support continuous improvement in equality performance and to inform our equality objectives. We continue to build on this work through the latest national EDS framework.
