Over the next five months, we are aiming to travel the miles our ambulance crews cover across our region and raise as much money as possible to support ambulance crews, patients and communities across Kent, Surrey, Sussex and North East Hampshire.
But this is much bigger than one ride.
We are inviting communities, schools, workplaces, stations, local groups and supporters across our region to get involved and help us outrun an ambulance across SECAmb.
You can take part in your own way. Walk it. Run it. Cycle it. Swim it. Dance it. Whether you want to organise a school challenge, workplace fundraiser, sponsored walk, community event or personal challenge, every mile and every pound raised will help support ambulance crews and communities across our region.
The challenge has been split into local areas based on the miles our ambulance crews travel responding to patients:
Ashford – 107 miles
Banstead – 81 miles
Brighton – 74 miles
Chertsey – 63 miles
Gatwick and Redhill – 90 miles
Guildford – 70 miles
Hastings and Polegate – 95 miles
Medway and Dartford – 79 miles
Paddock Wood – 88 miles
Tangmere and Worthing – 72 miles
Thanet – 117 miles
You can choose your local area, take part individually or as a team, and complete the miles over the next five months.
Anyone who raises over £100 will receive an Outrun an Ambulance medal.
To sign up, click on the map https://www.outrunanambulance.co.uk and choose either Kent, Surrey, East Sussex, West Sussex, North East Hampshire, Brighton or Medway and Dartford, then complete the miles of your choose area in your own way over the next five months.
Members of SECAmb’s executive and leadership teams are kicking off the challenge with a 90km cycle ride to help launch the campaign and start the miles across our region.
