Membership Zone

Members are the lifeblood of SECAmb. Only by involving our patients, partners, our staff and the public can we be sure we’re listening to people and making improvements based on what matters to you. And as a Foundation Trust our members also play a vital role in becoming Public Governors and voting for Governors who will work with our Board of Directors

FT membersAs a member you can get involved as much or as little as you like. We don’t expect all our members to come with knowledge of the ambulance service, or even to have used an ambulance (though we are keen that a number of our members have used our services).

What’s important to anyone who may need us is that we have the expertise and caring attitude that means you get the best possible care when you need it. We all have opinions about what we expect from services – so whether you’ve used ours or not, your views are important, and as a member you have the opportunity to have your say.

Support your local NHS ambulance service and sign up to become a member today by clicking this link which takes you to our online sign up form:

https://secure.membra.co.uk/SECAMBApplicationForm/

Membership is free and you will be sent a welcome letter in due course. You'll also recieve our member newsletter 'Your Call'. It would be great if we could send you this by email as it is better for the environment and saves the Trust money, so please do provide an email address if you have one when you sign up to become a member of our Trust.

During the course of its activities, SECAmb collects, stores and processes personal information in relation to its staff and those who have signed up to be a public member (a member must be at least 16 years old).  Our staff are trained to handle your information correctly and protect your confidentiality and privacy. You can read more about how your personal information is stored and handled in our privacy notice here.

Looking for more from your membership?
Why not consider standing for election to our Council of Governors. Governors are volunteer FT members who represent their constituency areas (Kent, Medway, East Sussex, West Sussex, Surrey & North East Hampshire) and hold our Non-Executive Directors to account for the performance of the Board. They are effectively a critical friend to the Trust and ensure we are putting our patients and people at the heart of our decision making.
