Resource Dispatcher

Control Staff
If you can keep your cool in difficult circumstances and are a skilled communicator, then our control centre needs you!

Our control centre teams deal with 999 calls that come through from people needing our help in both emergency and non-emergency situations. As a Resource Dispatcher you will manage a range of resources and deploy them to these calls. You will be responsible for identifying which calls are of highest priority and ensuring that the nearest and most appropriate resource is sent. Our dispatchers need to think logically and act quickly to ensure patient care is not delayed.

The Dispatcher also looks after frontline ambulance crews and manages their welfare using radios as a main form of communication. Therefore a caring and helpful nature is also an essential quality we look for.

This is a demanding and exciting role in an ever-changing environment. If you are looking for a new challenge where you can make a difference to people’s lives, this may be the role for you.
