Dealing with the most serious and life-threatening emergencies, becoming a critical care paramedic is a great way to progress your paramedic career!

As a CCP you will have an extended scope of skills to deal and focus on treating some of our most vulnerable and high risk patients using advanced clinical procedures using a wide range of cutting-edge medical equipment, once only ever used in hospital.

Working hand in hand with doctors and intensive care nurses to provide the best quality of care, your clincial focus and knowledge of pre-hospital care, will need to be of the highest level. You will need to be an excellent communicator, manage and lead difficult and challenging emergencies while ensuring that you work effectively as part of a team.

How do I apply?

Applicants for CCP are required to have successfully completed at least 5 years of front line ambulance work as a HCPC qualified Paramedic. Candidates are required to demonstrate clinical competence, have excellent communication skills as well as being able to evidence commitment to continuous professional development.

For all roles candidates will be expected to demonstrate an excellent understanding of compassionate care throughout their application and at interview/assessment.
