Farnborough staff aim high

Press release - 21 June 2010

South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Trust staff from Farnborough will be paddling for their lives in a charity raft race.

Staff from the station will be hoping to build on the success of last year when they take part in the Guildford Lions’ Club charity raft race on Saturday, 3 July.

Two teams will be entering and will be aiming high as they raise funds for the Surrey Air Ambulance.

Claire Bryant, who organised the station’s involvement in the race last year, said: “We had such a great time last year that we were determined to do even better this year.

“We are also delighted to be raising money for such a worthy cause.  We know how important the air ambulance is, so we are really keen to do our bit to ensure it continues to help the people of Surrey.”

This year’s Farnborough teams include: Graham Furlonger, Neil Faulkner, Dave Wallace, Richard Baker, Steve Wittington, Phil hunter, Jim Shields, Hilary Inglis, Lucy Lyne, Fiona Vivian, Claire Bryant, Julie Hunter, Sarah Brown and Louise Hammerton.
