14 December 2010

Crawley MP Henry Smith was given an insight into a modern ambulance service when he visited South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Trust (SECAmb) recently.

Mr Smith took time out to visit Crawley ambulance station and meet paramedics working in and around the area and got an idea of the issues facing crews on the frontline across the constituency, as well as improvements in patient care introduced by SECAmb.

SECAmb Paramedic and Senior Operations Manager for the area, Peter Radoux said: “It was good to be able to meet Mr Smith and to discuss the work of frontline staff in his constituency and SECAmb’s vision to improve services across our region.”

Mr Smith said: “I was delighted to meet Peter and other front line staff at Crawley Ambulance Station. I was impressed with the work of South East Coast Ambulance Service, both in regard to the technological and clinical innovations being developed to improve patient care and the dedication of its staff.”
