Bognor Regis MP visits staff

Press release - 7 July 2010

Bognor Regis and Littlehampton MP Nick Gibb got an insight into a modern ambulance service when he visited South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Trust (SECAmb) on Friday 25 June.

Mr Gibb took time out to visit Bognor Regis ambulance station and meet paramedics working in and around the Bognor area and got an idea of the issues facing crews on the front line.

SECAmb Paramedic and Clinical Operations Manager for the area, Steve Andrews said: “It was good to be able to meet Mr Gibb and to discuss the work of frontline staff in his constituency as well as SECAmb’s vision to improve services across our region.”

Mr Gibb said: “I was delighted to meet Steve and other paramedics and ambulance staff. Thousands of people in Bognor Regis owe their lives to the conscientiousness and clinical ability of the ambulance men and women at the Bognor Regis ambulance station. The quality of the equipment I saw and the clear dedication to duty of the men and women I met was reassuring for when the day comes that any of us may need them.”
