Inclusion, Equality & Diversity
The SECAmb vision has quality, innovation,
improvement and meeting the clinical and care needs of patients at
its core. These pages demonstrate our commitment to developing and
implementing integrated staff, patient, public and
stakeholder engagement as part of our core functions. To achieve
this we aim to demonstrate a real commitment to put the patient at
the heart of everything we do.
As a service provider, we are committed
to providing a service which is accessible to everyone and
prevents unfair or unlawful discrimination on the grounds of
age, disability, gender, gender identity, ethnicity, sexual
orientation or religion, faith or belief. We are working
to promote good relations between different individuals and
groups.
As an employer, we will ensure our employees
work in an environment which respects and includes everyone and is
free from discrimination, harassment and unequal treatment. We are
keen to attract staff from diverse backgrounds that are
representative of the population we serve and seek to raise our
profile as a potential employer.
A good example of this is our approach
to Ramadan. The information here has
been shared with staff to ensure that they are aware of
and respect the impact that the Holy Month may have on
colleagues and patients.
You will find the information we are required to publish to meet
the Specific
Duties of the Public Sector Equality Act 2010 in these
pages. We publish information to demonstrate our compliance with
these duties.
We are also supporting a national campaign which is encouraging
NHS staff to become champions for a personal,
fair and diverse NHS.
